Valentine's Card

Ok, little slow on producing, but here is my second card - a Valentine's Card!  I am not happy with the word "Valentine" I stamped, but no going back! I do love the other parts of the card - I really tried my hand at so many new things.

I used the Cricut for the dog, envelopes and mailbox top.  I just cut a piece of cardstock for the pole and base.  I ran a piece of green thru on my bigshot with the polkadot embossing folder for cuttlebug and then cut a hill shape.  The heart clouds are stamps that I filled in and embossed.  And the "valentine" is a stamp - the part that I hate :o(  see my inspiration card below.

My first card!

Ok, no poking fun, I made my first card! I made this for my bestest-ever cube-mate Diana - she keeps me laughing and makes the days go by a little easier!

I used my purple cow cutter to do the scalloped edges on the red stock and my cricut to do the cristmas tree.  I used the 3-D stickers to have the tree stand away from the card a bit, but my favorite part is if you can tell, the "bulbs" on the tree are shiny - (my bf's idea) I sandwiched a piece of tinfoil behind the cutout tree so that when the light hits it, it shines like the glitter on the star.  It's the the best thing ever, but it's my first card and you have to start somewhere!

First craft post!

So here is my First Craft Post! My nephew is 5 and lives in FL (I'm allllll the way in little 'ol DE), so I sent him a gift card for Christmas and didn't want to just send something impersonal, so I decided to create him a Christmas scene that he could do as a craft project

I packed a large piece of black poster board, all the things I made and a blue 2 way glue pen (LOVE THEM!).  I made all the items with my Cricut and had ton of fun with the Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge!!

Laying it out (not glued down yet) these are the items I sent down for him to recreate.  I know I had fun making them and he had fun putting it all together!

BORN!!!

I am blessed to have (what I think)is an amazing craft room and supplies, but I seem to do more hoarding than creating! I created this blog to keep track of inspiration and to just start creating again - I am by no means great at anything, so hopefully as the blog progresses, so will my skill level! lol. Thanks for peeking in! Kim

p.s.  I have another blog that I keep track of all my entertaining inspiration and some projects I have done along the way.  With the new year, and my Master's almost finished, I hope to put more time into both!  Check it out:  http://frostmeblog.blogspot.com
